[製作章] 1/700 重巡洋艦 摩耶 MAYA
日本重巡摩耶為高雄級4號艦，昭和7年(1932年)就役。
於昭和18年(1943年)進行近代化改裝，撤去第3號主炮，增設2座八九式高射炮及大量對空機槍。加上外形壯觀尤如堡壘般的艦橋，被譽為「洋上對空要塞」。
可惜於昭和19年(1944年)出發參與'捷一号作戰'時，對空火力並未有機會發揮之前已美軍潛艇擊沉。
此作品將重現重巡摩耶於昭和19年被擊沉前的英姿。
Japanese Heavy Cruiser MAYA was one of the four Takao-class heavy cruisers which was commissioned in 1932.
In 1943, MAYA underwent a configuration and her No.3 turret was removed, and replaced by 2 type 89 127mm anti-air guns. Because of its enormous super-structure and the number of anti-air guns, MAYA was known as the anti-air fortress on sea among the Japanese Navy.
However in 1944, before she could show the world her anti-air ability, MAYA was sunk by a US-Navy submarine in Palawan Passage.
使用了Flyhawk 及Fujimi 套改。需要作出一些修改打磨，
因為套改是配Aoshima的。
Flyhawk and Fujimi photo etched set for MAYA are used. As the Flyhawk set is designed for Aoshima's kit, certain polishing processes are required.
前檣是最辛苦的部分，
用上了Flyhawk的PE加上自己裁剪的0.3mm銅棒。
13號電探的PE相信經常令人苦不堪言，小弟的建議是不斷練習。記得當年有一張PE共16個13號電探，結果只有5個成功...
The making of the front mast is probably the most difficult part because it is a combination of Flyhawk's photo etched part and a few 0.3mm brass rods.
And the making of type 13 radar is also a pain in the ass. To make a decent looking one, there is no fast route but practice.
